FaceKey is a browser-based biometric authentication system that eliminates passwords entirely. Instead of typing credentials, users simply look at their camera to prove their identity. On first use, the registration flow guides you through a five-snapshot capture process — prompting slight head angle variations like looking left, right, and tilting up — to build a robust face profile that works reliably even in varied conditions. Each snapshot is processed using face-api.js to extract a 128-point facial descriptor, and the averaged result is saved locally as your identity profile. Logging in is fully automatic. The moment the login screen opens, your camera activates and begins scanning every 800 milliseconds. A live bounding box overlays your detected face in real time, and the system computes a Euclidean distance match against every registered profile.
